The project of Casa Amatller took place during the last years of the XIX century, and next to it people can find the Casa Lleó Morera and Casa Batlló in Passeig de Gràcia, and the three of them are known as the Illa de la Discòrdia or the Discord Apple, this is because they all share the same modern style on their architecture, alongside with other buildings in the block.
